Tuna Steak with Lemon Butter Sauce
Seared tuna steaks with rice are healthy dinner at all times, spice it up with fresh greens and a lemon butter garlic sauce. Sprinkle both sides of the tuna steaks with Puttalam salt and freshly ground pepper.
Chili Garlic King Prawns
Kalpitiya Lagoon Prawns, pan-fried in chilli and finished with garlic, lemon and herbs make a spicy and refreshing meal. Eaten by the lagoon with a glass of chilled beer or white wine.

The Blue Lagoon Resort, Kalpitiya hot butter cuttlefish recipe is a spicy seafood dish that embodies within it, everybody loves to munch on some delicious, golden fried hot butter cuttlefish.

This grilled chicken is outstanding and really ups the bar on our Kalpitiya free range chicken’s boneless skinless meat. The raw chicken sits in a marinade of fresh herbs, lemon juice, olive oil and garlic, vegetables with Pepper Sauce.
Honey glazed Pork Chop with Mashed Potatoes
Topping our savoury pork chops from Kalpitiya village market, with a rich pan sauce that highlights the classic duo of honey and mustard. Sides of creamy buttermilk mashed potatoes (originated in Nuwaraeliya) and a summery vegetable sauté of fresh tomatoes from Kalpitiya, green beans, and sweet peppers bring flavourful contrast to the dish.
Kalpitiya Special Curd & Treacle

The dish consists of a creamy curd (Meekiri), mostly made from buffalo milk, which is drizzled with sweet treacle—in Sri Lanka known as Kithul Peni and traditionally made from the sap of the fishtail or toddy palm (Caryota).
